Nerium has emerged as one of the most popular and talked-about skin care companies in recent years.

It functions as an MLM, or a multi-level marketing business.

This means that members can join the company and become marketers themselves, selling the company’s products to earn benefits and make money.

Nerium has become a trend in the skincare niche in the last few years.

Today we’re going to help you understand whether or not Nerium is actually a good company, or if the discussion is just hype.

What is Nerium?

Despite Nerium being such a competitive industry, the company is managing to put some innovation in the niche .

They have brought a line of products into the market that has earned them respect and recognition.

Skincare is an industry that will never run out of customers.

That also means that companies need to continually provide newer, better, and more innovative products to keep their customers interested.

Nerium, which was born in 2011 in Texas, tries to tackle these problems.

Its slogan is “looking better and living better”, which is an appropriate mantra for a company that sells products that are purported to reduce the process of aging, help you live longer, and keep you looking young.

Nerium has also become popular because of the wide amount of publicity that it’s received.

It has been seen on shows like Good Morning America, CBS, and The View, and is also featured in tons of magazines.

Jeff Olson, the owner, also founded The People’s Network.

This is a company that’s known to help people with personal development.

He’s also written books on building a successful lifestyle entitled Slight Edge, which has become quite popular.

What Do They Sell?

Nerium sells a wide variety of skin care products.

They are mostly based on something known as Nerium oleander, which is a controversial compound.

That said, the NeriumAd Skincare line isn’t harmful, despite the bad rep that oleander has earned.

There have been studies published that suggest that oleander can be beneficial when used in reasonable amounts.

Some of the products that Nerium produces include:

  • Eye creams and various moisturizers for the face.
  • Brightening cream and foundation to encourage the youthful appearance and brightness of skin.
  • Contouring lotion to help accentuate the natural angles of the face.

Nerium is unique in that they use oleander in their products.

They also tend to research their things more than most other companies do, and they can provide lab results on their own products.

However, it’s important to note than any company that funds their own laboratory research cannot be considered to have accurate lab results.

It’s very easy for a company to modify or manipulate the results of their own products, and if there’s not third party involved, nobody will be the wiser.

Nerium is actually a division of another company known as Nerium Biotechnology, Inc.

They are quite serious about their products, their development, and the compounds that are used within their technology.

30% of the profits that Nerium earns are used to fund research in the skincare industry.

This means that they are leaders in the industry and are pioneering some of the new developments that we are going to be experiencing in the skin health industry in coming years.

Most Popular Products

The most popular Nerium products are almost assuredly their anti-aging products. These include:

Age-Defying Eye Serum

Age-Defying Eye Serum

Eye-V Moisture Boost Patches

Eye-V Moisture Boost Patches

They are stick-on patches that help fight the degeneration of skin.

Some of Nerium’s other popular products include their wellness supplements.

In addition to providing products that help boost the skin and your exterior health, Nerium develops some health and wellness supplements that can help you internally.

EHT Brain Formula

EHT Brain Formula

It is a cognitive enhancer that can boost your mental health and memory.

Youth Factor Vitality

Youth Factor Vitality

This complex is filled with vitamins and supplemental compounds that can help prevent aging and ensure that you feel healthy.

Does It Work?

Nerium is a popular company.

It’s popularity alone suggests that their product line is effective.

However, there’s more to it than that.

As we’ve mentioned, Nerium does a couple things differently than other companies.

First off, they fund their own research facility so they can do clinical studies that prove that their products are highly effective.

MLM Business Opportunity

Nerium offers a MLM business opportunity.

This is a level-based system that allows you to progress through the company to earn more money as you become a better distributor of their products.

As you continue to go up in ranks, you will earn more opportunities and you will earn a better profit ratio.

This is similar to other MLM marketing opportunities.

The main thing that differs here is the compensation plan.

The Compensation Plan

compensation plan

Nerium compensation plan is unique, but fairly similar to other MLMs.

At Nerium, you will become an Independent Brand Partner.

This is their term for a business consultant, a marketer, or what have you.

By becoming an IDP, you will earn the ability to take advantage of the things that Nerium offers.

They are known for providing extensive training for marketing, as well as providing a wide range of learning materials.

They offer their training resources in 4 different languages.

Of course, Nerium offers some of the standard gimmicky promises – there’s a chance you could win a car, and other equally unlikely benefits that we can’t confirm or deny.

What we can confirm, however, is the basics of their compensation plan.

Basic IDP members will begin earning 10% commission.

This is nothing extreme – some companies, like Younique, have their commissions starting at 20%.

The max commission you will earn at Nerium is 25%, and you’ll need to grind pretty hard to get here.

Each new Preferred Customer that you recruit will help you earn more bonuses. These bonuses start at $16 for a single bottle of Nerium night cream!

For each level, you will earn different residual income.

For up to 6 levels you’ll learn 5% residual income, and for the prior 4 levels you will earn between 1 and 2%.

There is a way that you can immediately qualify to earn some money, but it will require that you shell come out in the first place.

There are 3 different ways to do this.

  • Pay $999.95 to get 20 bottles of Nerium products that you can sell, as well as a launch kit to help you prepare for marketing and making sales.
  • Pay $499 to get 7 bottles of Nerium products, as well as their launch kit to begin your marketing education.
  • Pay $99.95 to get a launch kit. This option won’t give you any products to sell.

If you work a lot or work well, you can qualify for free auto-shipping.

If you manage to sell some success packs to new Brand Partners within your first month, you’ll earn a bonus commission between $50 and $325.

The main way that people in Nerium make money is by buying the products in wholesale and selling them for standard prices.

This is the age-old MLM money-making procedure, and Nerium has it down pretty well.

Is It A Pyramid Scheme?

Many MLM companies work in a similar structure as a pyramid scheme, which isn’t inherently a bad thing.

A pyramid scheme simply implies that those at the top make more money than those at the bottom.

This isn’t entirely fair, but it’s the way that most businesses in our society operate.

Nerium is a multi-million dollar company, and many of the product distributors are barely making a living wage.

While selling for Nerium can be a good way to supplement your income, don’t expect to be making comparable wages as the CEOs!

Nerium Customer Reviews & Complaints

reviews

Nerium has been positively reviewed by quite a few people.

That said, there are also a lot of people who disagree with the way they run things or who have had bad experiences with their products.

Many of the negative reviews that have been posted on their website were answered directly by a representative of Nerium providing phone numbers or contact information to help the commenter resolve their issue.

Unfortunately, some people have had bad experiences.

One member posted that he asked Nerium to cancel his order before it had shipped, because he was being sent out to the military.

He was still charged for the product and wasn’t able to get a refund.

Some people have reported that their skin care products have an “overpowering and undesirable smell,” which made them “unable to leave the product on my skin.”

Reviews on Amazon state other things though.

Many people are satisfied with the results that they’ve had with the products and report positive experiences with them.

Some have reported seeing nearly immediate results which continue to improve over the duration of use.

Prices & Where To Buy

nerium official website

Nerium products are widely available.

Assuming that you haven’t personally met a consultant, don’t worry – you can still find their products online.

Nerium has their own website, where they offer great deals on their products.

  • Their Age-Defying Eye Serum, quoted to be valued at $114.95, is available for only $89.95.
  • The Double Cleansing Botanical Face Wash, allegedly worth $53.45, is for sale for only $40.
  • Their Night & Day Combo of products, valued at $282, is selling for $179.

Nerium is available on big online retailers like Amazon and eBay. The prices will be slightly more than those found in their website.

Nerium is popular and widespread enough that it’s available in many stores that sell cosmetics like Walmart. The prices will be notably higher than the prices from their site.

Money Back Guarantee & Refund Policy

Nerium offers a fairly extensive return and cancellation policy.

They have a 30 day money-back guarantee which promises that they will refund any money that you spent if you are not satisfied with your purchase.

This guarantee is offered to all retail customers as well as their consultants and presenters.

However, some people have reported that the money-back guarantee was not honored.

Many comments on Nerium’s website have actually called them out for not returning money after products were shipped or defective.

Not all people have had this experience, though.

Nerium has a reputation to keep up, so they try to make sure that at least some people have positive experiences.

Pros & Cons

Every company will have its perks, and every company will have its downsides.

To make the best out of any company, it’s important that you understand both if you want to make a good decision about whether or not to join.

Pros

  • The company offers some of the best research to support their product line, though much of this research is funded by the company itself.
  • They aren’t afraid to tout the benefits of a unique compound that many other companies are skeptical of using.
  • They are aware of the increasing demand of skincare products and are working with this to create new products that will appeal to the modern generation.
  • They are familiar with celebrities, with established author and marketer Jeff Olson heading the company.
  • They provide you with a decent amount of residual sales.
  • They provide great training in a variety of different languages, and they encourage your growth. They can also provide valuable training for other business opportunities.

Cons

  • They are part of the skincare market, which is notoriously competitive and can be difficult to get your foot in the door.
  • Their products are pretty expensive to buy, even in bulk.
  • Their compensation plan can be a bit difficult to understand.

Final Verdict

final verdict graphic

Nerium is a multi-million dollar MLM company.

They offer compensation plans that allow people to make a decent supplementary income, but they are almost assuredly a pyramid scheme.

Reviews on Nerium website suggest that they aren’t very honorable or consistent with their customer service or their refunds.

If you have an issue or need to cancel a shipment, they may not get back to you in time.

However, many people have reported success using Nerium products.

Many people enjoy their skin care products, and their vitamin supplements contain good ingredients.
